Since I have been living with my lovely friends, we have made this dinner a few times. It is super tasty, healthy and very quick to prepare. I thought it was time to share it with you ;)
For this recipe we used a George Foreman grill (pretty much the best investment EVER by the way). I am sure that if you don’t have one at home, you can still use a fry pan to cook the chicken etc. Just make sure you don’t use a lot of oil or butter or you will quickly make this an unhealthy dish.
Lemon & Pepper Chicken with a side of fruit and veggies
To prepare the chicken for grilling, we coated with egg whites and put into a zip lock bag containing a tablespoon of Parmesan cheese and a handful of Lemon & Pepper crust for seasoning.
Seal the container and then shake shake shake what your Mumma gave you until each piece is covered.
We put the chicken to the side for a while so we could get started with the side dish of apples.
I cut the apples into rings and cooked on the grill for around 7mins. Once they were done we sprinkled a small amount of cinnamon over the pieces and kept hot in the oven on a plate.
Next up, time for the chicken! It usually takes around 7-9mins for the chicken on the grill, but make sure you check at least one of the pieces to make sure it is cooked through.
We microwaved some sprouts while the chicken was cooking and then plated up with the apple underneath the chicken. Let me tell you. This simple dish is very tasty. I loved the flavors of the apples and cinnamon combined with the lemon seasoning on the chicken.
